Its been a while since my last post, but for good reasons! we have all been extremely busy over the past few weeks (months) pushing things in the positive direction. So anyway back on topic. We recently finished the music and sound work to another fine animation by our good friends over at TheDuoGroup. Based on the Halo series, the animation tells the story of a spartan soldier who after losing his team decides to continue his struggle against the enemy.

The final video can be seen below.

For this video I also decided to create a little ‘behind the music’ style video to give you all a little peak into how I go about doing what I do.

Hey Guys,

Daniel James here and I just wanted to let you all know I just completed my contribution to a fantastic new sample library by Spectrasonics. I contributed my sound design skills alongside the likes of Hans Zimmer, Vince Clarke (Erasure/Depeche Mode), Jean Michel Jarre, The Crystal Method, Jordan Rudess, Danny Elfman …and many more.

The library is in aid of the Bob Moog Foundation charity with all proceeds of the library going to the cause.

For our first post of 2011 I would like to share a quick teaser of a project Hybrid Two is working on in 2011.

The film will be a dark twisted horror story and is slated for release later this year.

I was recently asked by director Kely McClung, with whome I will be working on a horror feature film next summer, to compose the music for one of his previous projects entitled ‘Blood Ties’

I took the oppertunity to try and bring out the raw action of the film with the piece, I hope you guys pick up on that and enjoy!

A few months ago I was hired to create music for a promotional video for the province of Treviso (Italy)

The images in the piece are truly breathtaking, check out the final results in the video below.

I was recently given the opportunity to work on a demo track for Cinesamples new product ‘Drum Of War 2′

The library is genuinely fantastic, the sounds are awesome and the programming is top notch.
