A few weeks ago, Glenn X. Govan (Hybrid two sound designer and voice actor) did several voice overs for a video game called Heroes Of Newerth.

A game based of the MOD-phenomenon called DOTA.

Heroes Of Newerth should  also be recognized for their Audience award at the recent GDC.

Glenn X. Govan’s voice can be heard in the game’s beta for the character Engineer:

The Engineer is a man driven by more than mere eccentricity. Once a humble, hard-drinking builder in the Legion, he came to be a master all manner of machines. Wielding a blunderbuss of his own design and hoisting ale and a veritable armory on his back, he is a strange but impressive sight on the battlefield.

There Is  also a Voice Demo of the character for those would like to take a listen and unable to play in the beta (also take note the music is not by Hybrid two).
Glenn X. Govan provides the voice for other characters in the game as well. As they get released in the game, we’ll update the website with some information.

Here is a recently completed short film by TheDuoGroup based on the Assassins Creed games. “Initiation” is a fan film made by TheDuoGroup. (Not an official video)

“Initiation” takes place before Altair has received the coveted title of “Hashshashin.” Like all young men, Altair aspired to leave his mark on the world. After years of grueling training, fear and anticipation course through his veins. Anticipation, because he understands that this is the last right of passage towards brotherhood. Fear, because he knows that though hundreds of apprentices have reached this point, few come back alive.

The Video contains music by Daniel James. Sound design, placement and mixing by Aaron Frensley and Glenn X. Govan. Voices by Phillip Sacramento and Laura Post. An all round Hybrid Two production!

Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy from Hive Division on Vimeo.

Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy is the feature length fan-film being produced by Italian filmmakers Hive Division, to be released online on 27th September. In an effort to show some of the work going on behind the scenes, the voice cast of Philanthropy sat down to answer a few burning questions about their experiences during their recording for the film.

Featured in this part is voice actress Laura Post, who plays Elizabeth Laeken in the movie.
